If there is one thing about the Birmingham Legion FC — it’s their special relationship with their young fans and families. After every home game, win or lose, kids are let loose on the field to seek out an autograph or a hug from their hometown heroes.

This Sunday, August 27th,1:30PM at Protective Stadium before the 4:00PM game against Detroit City, the Legion is about to do something that is unheard of in professional sports.

In celebration of Youth Night presented by @Publix – the club is holding their first ever Youth Soccer Clinic with a number of the Legion FC men’s and women’s players and staff.

That’s right. Before the match at 1:30PM budding local youth soccer superstars will have an opportunity to learn from the pros.

Any kid aged 6-16 is welcome – all they need is a ticket to the 4:00PM match that afternoon, which starts at $10.

“Every player remembers when they fell in love with the game. Seeing kids light up when they meet our players on the field and now seeing them get to play on the field at Protective Stadium before the match this Sunday- it brings that feeling back. Legion is proud to be a part of more young players’ stories – growing their skills in our new youth program and growing soccer in Birmingham.” ~ Jay Heaps, Legion FC President and General Manager

Want to inspire your kid and give them an opportunity to learn from the Three Sparks?

RSVP for the clinic and get your tickets for the game.

In addition to the clinic and the game there are a couple more specials on Sunday.

Make Sunday a special day with the family. Give your kid an opportunity to learn the game he or she loves from one of their heroes and watch a “must-win” home game against the team from the “Motor City” — Detroit City FC.
