Waterloo Region, Ontario - Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after responding to reports of a youth seen with a gun in the area of Fischer-Hallman Road and Max Becker Drive in Kitchener.

On August 29, 2023, at approximately 7:30 pm, police responded to reports of an individual seen with a gun.

Upon arrival, the suspect had left the area and was not found during a search.

Through the initial investigation, police determined that a few youths were observed inside a business when a male youth pulled out a gun. Witnesses said the suspect did not brandish the gun, and no threats were heard.

The suspect has been described as a white male youth, approximately 5'4" tall with a heavy build, medium-length curly light brown hair, and was last seen wearing a grey oversized t-shirt, black shorts, and black shoes.

The investigation is ongoing.
